Bryn Mawr

$450.00

This special robot was born from the spirit of a young boy in Bryn Mawr who was struck by a car and killed on December 12, 1962. Upon opening up the Precision Apparatus Voltmeter, I found the original manual along with a news paper clipping that mentioned the boy who was tragically struck by a car driven by a 67 year old man. After seeing the article the robot took form in under a week, which is super-fast for me. True to the era, it features lots of original patina found on objects of that time including the Ray-o-vac flashlights and the old binoculars that give the bot long-range vision. The bot has also been re-wired from the outside, so that there is ample space inside for the manual and the untold story of the boy from Bryn Mawr.
